How Do I Take the Nevada Traffic School Online Course?

It's easy! Just follow these 4 simple steps:

  1. Register — Create a username and password on Safe2Drive's website. You will use this information to log in to your course. Registration typically takes about 2 minutes.
  2. Complete the Coursework — The course consists of interactive lessons that contain videos, games and animations. At the end of every lesson is a short multiple-choice quiz that consists of ten questions. You must answer eight questions correctly to proceed to the next lesson. You can take the lesson quizzes as many times as necessary to pass. Most people pass the lesson quiz on the first attempt, but you can retake a quiz as many times as necessary to pass. This course meets Nevada's required length of 5 hours of instruction. You may complete this course at your own pace — a little at a time, or all at once. Unlimited logins are provided so you can come and go as often as you want, and you will pick up right where you left off each time you return.
  3. Pass the Exam — At the end of the course, you must pass a final exam to earn your Certificate of Completion. The exam is easy to take and requires about 10 minutes for the 40-question multiple-choice final exam. You must score at least 70% to pass. Most people pass the exam the first time. However, you can take it as often as you wish. There is no charge to retake the exam, and unlimited retakes are allowed. Please note that the state of Nevada requires students to wait at least 4 hours before retaking the final exam. You can use this time to review the course material and prepare for your next attempt.
  4. Get Your Certificate
    • For court-referred courses, Safe2Drive will email the certificate to you when you pass the final exam. You must print it out, sign it, and deliver it to the court for credit.
    • For point reduction courses, Safe2Drive will notify the Nevada DMV of your completion for you within 1 business day of your course completion.
