Rich came highly recommended to us from a friend that used Cantor's Driving School and was exactly the instructor our daughter Taylor needed. After being in an accident, she was hesitant and waited until she was 17 to get behind a wheel and learn how to drive. Rich had such a calm presence and knew exactly how to work with her. In just one lesson, you could see her confidence already begin to grow. We had originally only bought the 3 lesson package, but once we saw how great Taylor was doing and knew how much she loved her lessons with Rich, we added on another 5 lessons. Though they weren't needed, because of how much knowledge and driving skills Taylor had already gained from Rich, as parents with a lot going on we decided to purchase another 8 lessons to get her closer to the 50 hours that are required prior to testing. In the end she had 16 - 2 hour lessons with Rich and turned into the most confident, safe, and knowledgeable driver we as parents could've ever hoped for. We also chose the test day option through Cantor, which made the whole experience smooth. Taylor passed her driver's test yesterday and it is all because of Rich. A million stars and thank you's will never be enough to show our gratitude for helping our girl overcome her fears. We'll see you in a year for our next kid.

I can’t say enough good things about James Goddard at Cantor’s Driving School. From day one, James went beyond “teaching to the test”—he showed me how to be a confident, courteous, lifelong safe driver. His calm, knowledgeable approach turned every lesson into a masterclass in real‑world driving, and his clear feedback helped me improve faster than I expected.

I originally tried lessons with several of Cantor’s instructors (they’re all excellent), but James’s patience, clear instructions, and gift for explaining how to navigate difficult driving situations made him the perfect teacher for continuing my lessons. As an adult driver who’s trained with plenty of instructors in the past, James is the one who truly taught me how to drive.

Adult drivers: if you’re looking for a patient instructor who will teach you the ins and outs of driving, book James.
Parents: if you want an instructor who treats your teen’s safety like it’s his own responsibility, book James. He builds good habits that stick long after the road test is over. (And of course, thanks to James I was able to pass my test!).

i was taught by Rich, very nice man. teaches as if he was your family and keeps it light-hearted. i paid for the 6HR course and i felt VERY confident after our practice together. i would cry when i got into the car or after rides! now i have my license and i drive to work EVERYDAY!! i would recommend Rich, especially if you like your classes early morning. 🙂

My son, Daxton, had 6 hours of behind the wheel training with Mr. Gerald Dompier. He was AMAZING! My son felt very prepared for his driving test last weekend and passed on his first try.
